The Assens City Archives and the Assens Local Archives house a unique collection of historical material that sheds light on local history and the local population from a historical perspective. A visit to the archives can strengthen students’ awareness of local history. Source criticism is the focus as students locate, read, analyze, and discuss primary source material. A visit to the archives provides an opportunity for lively discussion on many topics, and you are welcome to contact the archivist so that the visit can be tailored to current classroom topics.
