The ERNST Museum and the WILLEMOES Museum will be open throughout the fall break, from Saturday, October 10, through Sunday, October 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Experiences at the ERNST Museum
Paint Your Own Flora Danica Plate
During fall break, you can paint your own Flora Danica plate at mini ERNST. Let yourself be inspired by the many beautiful tableware sets in Frederik Ernst’s wondrous universe and paint your very own plate to take home.
You can paint on porcelain every day from October 12–16, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., and it’s completely free.
In the playroom at mini ERNST, you can also dress up in fancy clothes and step inside the golden frame to have your portrait taken. You can play a slightly different version of a memory game, play with the beautiful dollhouse, or set the table for your own tea party in the cozy nook.

Museum ERNST & mini ERNST are open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every day from October 10–18.
It’s free for both children and adults to explore mini ERNST. If you visit the exhibition, adults must pay admission.

Dive into the history of the naval hero
Dive into the exciting story of the sea hero Peter Willemoes and visit the maritime play universe—with room for heroes big and small.
Go on a treasure hunt through the sea hero’s story, set sail on the open sea, fire cannonballs from your ship, try out the old diving bell, color your own hero, and much more.
At the WILLEMOES Museum, there's room for both play and learning.
The WILLEMOES Museum will be open throughout the fall break (October 10–18) from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with FREE admission for everyone.

Things to Do at the Assens Customs House
You can visit Assens Toldkammer completely FREE of charge Tuesday through Thursday, October 13–15, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Historical Games
Come and try out some fun activities both outdoors and indoors at Assens Toldkammer.
Try walking on stilts or make your own jump rope at the museum’s rope-making station. You can also try your hand at felting or create a portrait in our winter “photo studio”—then you’ll have a lovely picture for a Christmas card.
Assens Developed
While children and grandchildren take part in activities both outside and inside the Assens Customs House, the adults can immerse themselves in the photo exhibition “Assens Fremkaldt.”
The photographs are large-scale reproductions of images taken by amateur photographer Otto Joachim Fiedler (1849–1936).
Fiedler was a district and county physician and, not least, a skilled amateur photographer. With his camera, he documented the town of Assens and its surroundings. Fiedler photographed streets, buildings, people, and landscapes. The photographs offer a truly unique insight into the town—during a period of great change.
