Assens Tells the Story

Discover the secrets and stories of this market town on a tour through the town, which is over 500 years old. The tour begins at the town’s historic square at 2:00 p.m. and ends in the museum garden—Frederik Ernst’s Garden—at 3:00 p.m. Along the way, the tour passes several of the town’s beautiful courtyards, hidden behind the main street. We’ll also pass by Northern Europe’s largest timber shed—Plums Tømmerlade—which we’ll take a look inside. Once we arrive at Frederik Ernst’s Garden, you’ll have the opportunity to take a short break. You can buy hot and cold drinks at Café ERNST and enjoy a refreshment in the museum garden.

The city walk is part of the “Thursday at the Square ” event and is aimed at both children and adults—tourists and locals alike.
