On Saturday, August 22, Østergade in Assens will be buzzing with a tropical atmosphere when the big samba parade takes over the town. Under the theme “Vild med Vilje,” locals and professionals will dance down Østergade to Kulturkajen. The parade starts at 10:00 a.m. and ends around 11:30 a.m.

But even when the samba rhythms stop, things don’t have to get boring at all. Museum Vestfyn is hosting fun children’s activities in front of the Assens Customs House from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. —before the festivities continue at Assens Awake starting at 4:00 p.m. at Assens Arena.
